Shipping & Export

Everything you need to know about our global logistics, shipping methods, and export documentation.

Shipping Methods

RORO (Roll-on/Roll-off)

The most cost-effective and common method for shipping vehicles. Cars are driven directly onto the ship and secured inside the car deck.

  • Best for standard vehicles and trucks
  • Generally cheaper than container shipping
  • Subject to schedule availability by region

Container Shipping

Vehicles are loaded and secured inside a standard 20ft or 40ft ocean container. Ideal for high-value cars or when shipping multiple units.

  • Highest level of security and protection
  • Can load 2-4 cars per 40ft container
  • Spare parts can be shipped alongside the car

Trade Terms (Incoterms)

FOB (Free On Board) - Standard

Our default pricing is FOB. This means AMC covers all costs up to loading the vehicle onto the vessel at the Korean port (including inland transport and export clearance). The buyer pays for the ocean freight directly to the shipping agent upon arrival.

CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) - Optional

If requested, we can arrange CIF terms. In this case, the ocean freight and marine insurance costs will be added to your final invoice, and AMC will prepay the shipping line in Korea.

Required Documents

After the vessel departs, we will send the following original documents to your registered address via DHL/FedEx:

  • 1.
    Bill of Lading (B/L)

The official contract of carriage and title document required to claim your vehicle at the destination port.

  • 2.
    Export Certificate

The official cancellation of the Korean registration, proving the vehicle is legally exported. Translated versions available upon request.

  • 3.
    Commercial Invoice & Packing List

Required for your local customs clearance and import tax assessment.
